Flat Cut-To-Fit Barrier

Description

The D-Ostomy is a novel, patented, D-shaped ostomy designed to be placed near difficult anatomy (incisions, scars, drains, umbilicus, rolls, folds, second ostomies, etc.) without overlap. The barrier can be roated and the straight edge placed adjacent to any anatomical challenge. Because each client is different, our pouches come in all four cardinal directions. This allows the client to place the barrier in any orientation they require.

The D-Ostomy universal, flat, cut-to-fit barrier works with all D-Ostomy pouches. Cut a hole in the barrier slightly larger than the stoma, then rotate the barrier to match the pouch direction. The universal D-Ostomy barrier can accommodate stomas ranging in size from 10mm (.39 inches) to 70mm (2.75 inches).
